An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
Your daily responsibilities include:
Generate maximum sales revenues from social markets, meetings and conventions, corporate groups and associations, and rooms or catering only groups.
Up-Sell the property whenever possible, post initial Sales Contract, generate contract addendums.
Provide assistance to the Executive Sales Manager and Sales Manager(s) by performing the necessary administrative duties.
Assist Sales Coordinator with processing telephone calls to Sales accordingly, begin the creation of a new group files, and delegate the new group to the Sales Manager(s) accordingly.
Create and Maintain a Master Event Space Calendar
Create and maintain an effective filing system for all Sales Groups to ensure all deadlines (booking, payment, etc.) are met (with the exception of rooms only groups)
Assist Executive Sales Manager and Sales Manager(s) with weekly call pattern that will generate new accounts and service existing accounts for new and return business.
Assist in generating new and return group & hotel business via sales calls, telemarketing, sales blitzes, FAM, tradeshows and written correspondence business.
Cooperate and work with the Bus Marketing and Casino Marketing & Player Development staff, in sharing leads and/or any other activity that will generate new business.
Cooperate with other departments to communicate to and service patrons promptly.
Work closely with the Hotel, Reservations, Food & Beverage, Entertainment, and Club Hollywood Departments to accommodate guest event and planning needs.
Prepare and submit timely call reports to management.
Manage travel and entertainment expenses and submit these reports on a timely basis.
Represent the company during marketing, special, and community events and for marketing, special, and community-orientated activities in both local and external markets.
Work with Casino Services to ensure efficient greeting & club enrollment of all arriving group patrons.
Oversee the billing and collection of all rooms and catering Sales Groups; post charges and payments accordingly.
Prepare and distribute daily and weekly reports for various departments affected by all group business.
Conduct Pre-Con and Post-Con meetings accordingly with client and Hollywood Cast Members.
Be available for nights and weekends as needed.
Conduct weekly resume and planning meetings accordingly
Provide positive communication and use Red Carpet Training skills with every patron and co-worker.
Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff.
Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position's job description, where, in the Company's judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Must be 21 years of age
Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; high school diploma required; two to three year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
Cast Member is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The Cast Member is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
The Cast Member must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
